When
Daily Schedule

  1. Members are picked up from their homes starting at 9:00a.m.
  2. When arriving at CARE club, each individual needs to sign the attendance sheet.  The attendance sheet is used to determine how many people will be eating lunch.  It is also used when we have fire drills, tornado drills or for an actual fire or tornado, to ensure that all members are accounted for.
  3. After signing the attendance sheet, each member of CARE club is asked to sign up for at least one duty each day.  The reason for this is that CARE club is your responsibility.  We do not have janitorial service or kitchen help to clean the area, so members are asked to volunteer for these duties.
  4. A general meeting is held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday morning to discuss the following:  plans for the day, upcoming events of interest, old business from the previous day, new ideas, concerns and problems.
  5. Members are asked to volunteer for funding projects such as: operation of the snack shop, baking projects and any other fund raising projects the group has decided to take on to earn money for CARE club’s fund.
  6. Each member receives a point for each task completed for a fundraiser.  At the time a member has achieved a certain stated number of points, that member will be able to turn in points for a free certificate (i.e. free blizzards, etc.) at the end of each week.
  7. Lunch is served at 11:15 a.m. Following lunch, duties are done and at 12:30 p.m. the city transit picks everybody up in the parking lot behind the building and will transport you to your home.

Other issues of interest:
  1. Once a week a member is elected by the other members to be the MEMBER OF THE WEEK.  Every week the member of the week receive a certificate for a free item (i.e. gift certificate to Dairy Queen, etc.).
  2. Members are the primary planners of parties and other activities.
  3. Money received from fund raising projects is deposited in the CARE Club bank account.  Members of CARE Club vote on how to spend the money.
  4. Routine fire drills and tornado drills are conducted.
  5. If you have questions, feel free to ask the staff or other members at any time.
  6. Various skill groups are provided to members during the day and after CARE Club closes for the day.  Check with the staff for details concerning the groups available to you.
  7. When you sign up for Snack Shop duty, it is a “first-come-first-serve” basis.  You receive a quarter (.25 cents) for working the snack shop and kitchen.
